The sun shone its face on us for a few brief moments over the weekend and I was fortunate enough to spend some time outside enjoying it!

On Saturday I spent a couple hours outside hiking around the trails behind my parent's house with my dog (well, she lives with my parents, but she was mine in childhood). It was such a beautiful time to be outside enjoying nature. Even when the sky clouded over and the wind picked up, it was still so lovely to be outside in the trees, just me, my dog, and the joy of exploration.

On Sunday the sun was out again here and there, and during a sunny moment, I got outside with my sister to snap some photos.

I had a difficult time deciding what to wear on Sunday. I found myself slipping into this mindset where I needed to choose something that would be "worthy" to be on the blog.

What a horrible place to be! Soon I was convinced that nothing I owned was remotely interesting or good enough to be featured, or I lamented the fact I had worn elements of what I wanted to wear too recently.

I stumbled across a lovely blog yesterday afternoon called "Missing Lovebirds" and the author, Elanor, wrote about this exact predicament - I couldn't have put it better myself. You should check out her blog and this particular post!

In the end I came to the conclusion that if I've worn [insert piece of clothing here] in a million posts already - oh well! If I love wearing it that's really all that matters in the end. I also have to keep reminding myself that this blog is a place for me to share and experiment with fashion as I discover what I like and what I don't like. My style will always be evolving and I'm just glad I have a place I can document the process!

     Have a lovely day!
